ARCH 525 Environmental Systems
Human comfort, climate analysis, passive and active systems, heating and cooling, daylighting and acoustics are reviewed. The survey, with a special emphasis on sustainable design, provides an understanding of the basic principles and appropriate application and performance of building systems including heating, cooling and ventilation systems; electrical and plumbing distribution systems, lighting, acoustical, energy, waste, fire protection, security and hazardous material systems.
